Gumi ¡°Daon Yoga & Flying (Hyeonggok)¡±, RYTK400 Yoga Instructor Certification Opens Jan 24, 2026 Designing meditation-and-breath classes—plus somatic, neuro-informed recovery coaching
Daon Yoga & Flying (Hyeonggok Branch), located in Hyeonggok-dong, Gumi (Gyeongbuk), will run the KTYA (Korea Therapy Yoga Association) RYTK400 Yoga Instructor Certification in line with the nationwide opening on January 24, 2026. The studio is a 70-pyeong-class space with capacity for up to 30 practitioners, supporting both regular classes and instructor training in a stable practice environment.
RYTK400 is an advanced track for teachers who already hold an RYTK300+-level qualification and want to move beyond ¡°asana-only teaching¡± toward structured delivery of pranayama (yogic breathing) and pratyahara-based meditation. Today¡¯s market is driven less by pose difficulty and more by post-class outcomes: easier breathing, calmer emotions, better sleep, and tangible stress recovery. RYTK400 responds to this shift by training instructors to build classes that reliably produce recovery—not just atmosphere.
The program is organized around four pillars: Satkarma, prana-expanding bandha & asana, pranayama, and pratyahara. In the Hyeonggok curriculum, Satkarma is taught as daily-life application (not just technique), using individualized assignments such as breath awareness, hydration, and lifestyle-rhythm tracking (sleep, digestion, recovery). Bandha & asana training begins with bandha to support alignment that does not block pranic flow, progressing step-by-step so instructors can cue ¡°flow-based alignment¡± rather than force-based movement. Pranayama is taught with clear safety standards to prevent hyperventilation; ratios and intensity are adjusted to each trainee¡¯s condition, prioritizing rhythm and recovery windows over ¡°depth¡± alone. Pratyahara is delivered as a teachable method, combining Yoga Nidra, aroma-supported breathing, and singing-bowl practice for about 15–20 minutes per session in a sequence of sensory release ¡æ breath stabilization ¡æ sound meditation.
A core outcome is immediate field usability. Graduates are guided to finalize class frameworks they can launch right away—such as a Nidra + singing-bowl recovery meditation, a ¡°safe pranayama¡± protocol for stress and over-breathing tendencies, and an alignment-plus-breath somatic yoga class for chronic pain or imbalance clients. The goal is for certification to translate into operational class design, not just knowledge.
The program is led by Director Park Hee-su, known for autonomic-nervous-system-based recovery coaching. Park has authored a book on autonomic imbalance and yoga, has delivered resilience-focused meditation programs for university students, and has provided specialized 1:1 instruction for clients with autonomic dysregulation and chronic pain. Park is also pursuing a master¡¯s track in integrative medicine and serves as a training-center director within the Korea Yoga Meditation network.
Another strength is ¡°post-certification growth.¡± After completion, trainees can continue developing through YO&P Membership (Yoga & Pilates Membership), accessing ongoing sequence updates for meditation teaching and advanced modules linked to RYTK400 topics—supporting continuous professional upgrading as the field evolves.
This RYTK400 cohort is positioned for instructors and studio owners seeking differentiation through recovery-based programming and for professionals interested in neuro-somatic rehabilitation approaches grounded in breath, regulation, and practical class architecture.
