The International Association of Integrative Therapy (IAIT) appointed Park Young-bin, President of the Korea Therapy Yoga Association (KTYA), as Chair of its Operations Committee and announced a strengthened governance model for 2026. Under the renewed structure, all ¡°100 Therapists¡± members will serve as committee members, participating directly in discussions on IAIT¡¯s overall direction. The Operations Committee will be convened alongside IAIT¡¯s monthly offline meetings to review and refine an execution roadmap that connects education, research, clinical practice, content production, publishing, and media outreach.

IAIT¡¯s core competitiveness, the association explains, is not event-driven visibility but a system in which outcomes accumulate into reproducible standards. IAIT positions therapy beyond individual techniques by building frameworks that can be described with evidence and implemented consistently in real settings. Its strategic pillars include evidence generation through clinical research, case reporting, and literature-level work; dissemination via academic journals; and professional exchange through conferences, symposia, workshops, and proceedings. By organizing the achievements of field practitioners—especially through its 100 Therapists initiative—and structuring expertise through topic-based research committees, IAIT aims to convert practical know-how into shared, scalable professional assets.

The Operations Committee is designed as the ¡°engine¡± that turns IAIT¡¯s philosophy into execution. IAIT has emphasized that the committee should guide mid- to long-term planning on how education, research, and clinical application are integrated, while aligning diverse disciplines—such as yoga, Pilates, manual therapy, and pharmacy—within a coherent integrative medicine language. In 2026, IAIT plans to further refine this model so that member activities naturally lead to educational content, research presentations, publishing projects, and sustained media visibility.

Chair Park Young-bin is a KTYA President and the director of ¡°Vini Yoga & Daom Pilates¡± in Cheongju, known for designing programs that bridge field teaching with research-based development. Within IAIT, Park also serves as the Research Chair for Yoga Nidra under the ¡°Mind & Rest Meditation Group,¡± and holds additional leadership roles including Education Chair of the Korea Yoga Meditation Association and Chief Examiner for KTYA Yoga Therapists. IAIT has noted Park¡¯s academic engagement, including work related to applying Yoga Nidra through an Ayurveda dosha-based framework.

IAIT stated that the strengthened Operations Committee aligns closely with KTYA¡¯s competitive model: a structured, lifelong professional growth pathway built on a registered multi-track certification system, expanded specialization, field application, and progression into research and lecturing. IAIT expects that this shared orientation toward standards, documentation, and professional development will accelerate a cycle in which evidence accumulates, achievements are recorded, and validated models return to the field as practical, repeatable programs.
