Sejong Jung Hyo-jin Mind Yoga Introduces an ¡°EEG Condition Check¡±
A Yoga–Breath–Meditation Model that ¡°Designs¡± Nervous-System Regulation Through Neurofeedback

Jung Hyo-jin Mind Yoga in Sejong City has launched a pilot program that integrates an EEG (electroencephalogram) condition check and neurofeedback (Brain Therapy approach) into yoga-based nervous-system regulation. This initiative is drawing attention as an operational model that helps people review daily condition indicators—especially for states that are hard to explain by ¡°feeling¡± alone, such as anxiety, insomnia, tension, and reduced concentration—and then adjust practice direction more precisely.

Jung Hyo-jin Mind Yoga is not a medical institution and does not use language such as diagnosis, treatment, or cure. This program is not a medical test; it is an ¡°EEG condition check¡± that uses arousal–relaxation tendencies as reference indicators to support more refined practice design.

Why an ¡°EEG Condition Check¡± Now

It is widely known that yoga can support mental calm. Yet when the nervous system feels unstable, there are moments when ¡°You¡¯ll feel better¡± is not persuasive enough. Many people want to know:

* Is my body and mind closer to ¡°tension (arousal)¡± or ¡°recovery (relaxation)¡± today?
* What type of breathing, intensity, and recovery segment is more appropriate right now?
* Are changes building consistently before and after practice?

Director Jung Hyo-jin says she once experienced anxiety, insomnia, depression, and panic, along with a strong desire to understand what was happening. She explains that after looking into hospital EEG testing—and experiencing long wait times and limits to immediate feedback—she became convinced that studios also need a way to check current state and adjust practice safely in real time.

Principles at Jung Hyo-jin Mind Yoga

The first standard this program protects is ¡°safe language.¡±

* This is not a medical diagnosis.
* We do not use treatment/cure claims.
* The focus is not ranking results, but understanding individual patterns.
* Yoga is central; neurofeedback is used as a feedback tool.

Director Jung notes, ¡°Yoga is the main practice, and neurofeedback is a tool that can help design that path more safely and precisely.¡±

Operating Structure: Check – Adjust – Transfer

The flow is organized into three steps:

1. Check
   A brief EEG condition check is used to observe today¡¯s tendencies in arousal, relaxation, and attentional stability as reference indicators.

2. Adjust
   Based on the check, key practice variables are adjusted.
   Breath length, intensity, rhythm, placement of recovery segments, and overall practice density are designed to match the individual¡¯s condition.

3. Transfer
   A ¡°yoga-meditation transfer¡± routine is provided to help carry stability gained on the mat into daily life—connecting ¡°today¡¯s calm¡± to ¡°tomorrow¡¯s habits.¡±

Pilot: 10 Participants, With Careful Pre/Post Comparisons

The studio recently conducted EEG condition checks with 10 people, and cautiously began pre/post comparisons for some participants:

* Singing-bowl meditation (before/after)
* Aroma yoga (before/after)
* Therapy Wall yoga (before/after)

Because many variables (sleep time, caffeine, seasonal or work stress) can influence results, the studio does not claim definitive conclusions. Instead, it emphasizes the value of exploring—not judging—¡°what conditions tend to help this person settle more comfortably.¡±

On-Site Safety Standards

Jung Hyo-jin Mind Yoga maintains the following minimum standards:

* Record measurement conditions: time of day / sleep / caffeine / meals / strenuous exercise
* 2–3 minutes stabilization before measurement: natural breathing without excessive guidance
* Three subjective indicators: sleep quality (0–10) / anxiety (0–10) / fatigue (0–10)
* Prioritize individual patterns over averages: explore suitability, not superiority
* Stop and adjust immediately if discomfort or risk signals appear: safety first

What This Program Aims For

Director Jung says, ¡°Rather than promising certainty, I want to build a path that can be checked.¡± The goal is to help members return to the idea that when they feel shaken, it is not ¡°because I¡¯m not enough,¡± but ¡°there were conditions that helped me stabilize.¡± This intention is being implemented through a structure of ¡°EEG condition check – nervous-system regulation design – yoga-meditation transfer.¡±

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1. Do you diagnose conditions using EEG?
No. This is not a medical diagnosis. It is a ¡°condition check¡± used as a reference to support practice design.

Q2. Does neurofeedback replace yoga?
No. Yoga is central. Neurofeedback is used only as a feedback tool.

Q3. What do pre/post comparisons mean?
They are a way to explore personal recovery conditions. The purpose is not ranking, but understanding patterns and adjusting practice.
