Alive Yoga Director Park Jieun Draws Attention with Inclusive Singing Bowl Healing Education

As the Singing Bowl Therapy Meditation Institute (SBTMI), an affiliated research center of the Korea Therapy Yoga Association (KTYA), prepares to launch its February ¡°Singing Bowl Basic¡± and ¡°Singing Bowl Meditation Yoga Instructor Level 2¡± programs simultaneously across 13 authorized training centers nationwide, Park Jieun, Director of Alive Yoga in Jinju, is gaining attention for her field-driven and inclusive approach to yoga and healing education.

Park currently serves as President of the Yold Yoga Academy of the Korea Therapy Yoga Association, Training Committee Member and Lecturer for the RYTK 300+ Membership, RYTK 300+ Evaluation Committee Member, Exam Committee Member of the Singing Bowl Therapy Meditation Institute, and Executive Member of the Jinju City Sports Council Yoga Association. Her direct involvement in instructor training, evaluation, and curriculum development is regarded as a key strength of the Alive Yoga Training Center and a foundation of its educational credibility.

Alive Yoga in Jinju is a wellness-oriented yoga center built around the core value of restoring balance between body and mind. Through programs such as kids yoga, singing bowl yoga, beginner-friendly yoga, and yoga instructor training, the center has consistently worked to make yoga accessible regardless of age or prior experience, maintaining close ties with the local community.

Park is also the author of Happy Silver Yoga: A Special Lesson for Dad, a health-category bestseller in Korea. The book presents practical possibilities for senior yoga and family-centered practice, emphasizing yoga as a tool for recovery and quality of life rather than exercise alone. In addition, Park has demonstrated her leadership and expertise through achievements such as winning first place in the group division of the Korea Yoga Association President¡¯s Cup National Yoga Competition.

Building on this extensive field experience and educational philosophy, Park Jieun is participating in SBTMI¡¯s February nationwide launch of professional singing bowl programs. Operated under KTYA¡¯s standardized curriculum, the courses cover singing bowl structure and vibration principles, experiential sound meditation, foundational therapy practice, session design for individuals and groups, and protocol development based on chakra systems and emotional energy flow.

Participants who complete the program and pass the written and practical examinations will be awarded the nationally registered private qualification ¡°Singing Bowl Meditation Yoga Instructor Level 2¡± (Registration No. 2019-002404), listed with the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education & Training. The certification is recognized for its strong emphasis on real-world application and is widely utilized by yoga, Pilates, and meditation instructors.

A notable feature of the program is its integration with the YO&P Membership. Registered YO&P members receive a full tuition waiver for the Singing Bowl Basic course, paying only the certificate issuance fee, and may attend the program at any authorized training center nationwide under the same standards. In addition, members gain lifetime free access to more than 70 professional certificate courses, allowing singing bowl education to connect organically with Hatha Yoga, Wall Yoga, Brain Therapy, senior yoga, and kids yoga programs.

¡°YO&P Membership goes beyond short-term certification,¡± Park said. ¡°It is a learning system that allows instructors to design long-term professional growth. Singing bowl meditation and therapy can be safely and effectively applied across a wide range of populations, including seniors and children.¡±

SBTMI plans to continue strengthening its nationwide training network and collaboration with YO&P Membership, positioning singing bowl meditation and therapy as core healing tools within Korea¡¯s yoga, meditation, and Pilates communities. Park Jieun¡¯s work at Alive Yoga illustrates how yoga education can transcend age and experience, evolving into a practical and inclusive model of everyday healing.
