Sojung Meditation Healing Center Launches Singing Bowl Meditation Yoga Instructor Certification Program
Nationwide Training Across 13 Centers Begins This February
The Singing Bowl Therapy Meditation Institute (SBTMI), an affiliate of the Korea Therapy Yoga Association (KTYA), will officially open the Singing Bowl Basic Completion Course and the Level 2 Singing Bowl Meditation Yoga Instructor Certification Program this February at 13 authorized training centers nationwide. Park Sojung, Director of the Sojung Meditation Healing Center in Jeonju, will participate as head instructor, leading hands-on, on-site training.
Director Park brings extensive experience in integrated meditation healing research and counseling, having developed and led a wide range of programs for counselors and meditation instructors. Drawing on this background, she will deliver practice-oriented education designed for immediate application in professional settings.
SBTMI supports the professional development of yoga and Pilates instructors through an integrated approach that combines research, publications, lectures, and media in the field of singing bowl meditation and therapy. The Singing Bowl Basic Course introduces participants to the structure of singing bowls, principles of vibration, sound meditation experiences, and foundational therapy practices, helping them understand how sound influences both the body and the mind.
The Level 2 Singing Bowl Meditation Yoga Instructor Course focuses on advanced practical skills, including the design of individual and group sessions, integration of yoga asanas, pranayama, and meditation, and the development of protocols based on chakra systems and emotional energy flow. Upon successful completion of both written and practical examinations, participants will be awarded the nationally registered private certification, Level 2 Singing Bowl Meditation Yoga Instructor (Registration No. 2019-002404), accredited by the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training.
These programs are offered in connection with the YO&P Membership. Full members may attend the Singing Bowl Basic Course without tuition fees, paying only the certificate issuance fee, while receiving standardized education at any authorized training center nationwide. In addition, YO&P Membership provides lifetime free access to more than 70 professional training programs, including Hatha Yoga, Wall Yoga, Brain Therapy, Meditation, and Therapy Pilates, supporting long-term professional growth.
Director Park emphasizes that singing bowl meditation and therapy serve as integrative healing tools that extend beyond physical recovery to promote emotional stability and energetic balance. With the structured support of SBTMI and YO&P Membership, she notes, participants can acquire professional skills that are immediately applicable in real-world practice.
The simultaneous launch of this program across 13 training centers is expected to significantly expand singing bowl–based healing expertise within local yoga, Pilates, and meditation education communities throughout South Korea, with Director Park playing a central role in this nationwide initiative.
