The Korea Yoga Meditation Association (KYMA, President Ham Kyung-in) has launched the first cohort of the Yoga Meditation Trainer 200 (Level 3) program at its Jeongseon Education Center in Gangwon Province. The program integrates ¡°measurable meditation¡± with ¡°field-applicable teaching skills¡± through a practice-intensive training system. The local center is operated by Director Lee Mi-jung at Imageong Daom Mediwell Pilates. The course runs from February 23 to June 2, 2026, structured around a 100-day night practice routine (22:00–22:30 class, followed by 22:30–23:00 meditation), emphasizing long-term embodied training rather than one-time instruction.

KYMA states that the program addresses modern issues such as hyperarousal, insomnia, and emotional burnout—conditions often described as ¡°the body feels fine but the mind collapses¡± or ¡°the nervous system never fully rests.¡± The goal is to develop practical recovery routines by integrating movement, breathwork, meditation, sound therapy (singing bowls), and neuroscience. The focus is on cultivating instructors who can read participants¡¯ conditions and guide them safely through embodied teaching language and rhythm.

The curriculum is based on the philosophical foundation of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, combined with contemporary neuroscience. Six modules are offered: Meditation Training, Breath Meditation, Singing Bowl Meditation, Yoga Nidra, Aroma Meditation, and Understanding Modern Meditation. Practice journals and offline intensive sessions are included to transform personal practice into teaching competence.

A key feature of this cohort is two free EEG analyses for participants in the 100-day night meditation. Measurements before and after the practice period will be provided as individual reports, allowing changes to be observed through nervous system indicators. KYMA explains that these data will support counseling and class design, helping trainees transition from practitioners to instructors.

Additional support includes weekly Singing Bowl & Aroma Breath Meditation sessions to stabilize recovery rhythms. KYMA emphasizes that meditation training is about establishing repeatable daily rhythms, not one-time experiences.

The program is educational in nature and does not replace medical diagnosis or treatment. It aims to safely train practical recovery routines and meditation guidance skills based on clinical experience and evidence-informed approaches. Further details are available through KYMA and the Jeongseon Education Center.
